"The Goddess of Air"

Alex began her career playing Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz at the Olympia Theatre, Dublin.

Musical theatre was her first love and she went on to have a very happy and busy  career playing lead roles in a variety of  Irish produced musicals such as Young Sally - Follies In Concert, Jenny in Aspects of Love, Janet in The Rocky Horror Show, Kate Foley in The Wiremen, Cathy in The Last Five Years, Lady Ulveigh in The Promise and Doris Day in An Evening with Doris Day and Gordon MacRae.

She had a wonderful 4 years playing the principal girl in the Gaiety Theatres productions of Cinderella, Aladdin, Sinbad and Mother Goose.

In 2014 she couldn't resist the part of Maleficent at the Cork Opera House's production of Sleeping Beauty and realised playing the "Baddie" was was far to much fun!

In the UK Alex toured with Cameron Mackintosh's production of Les Miserables playing the role of Eponine alongside Colm Wilkinson. She originated the role of Bernadette in Andrew Lloyd Webbers world premier of The Beautiful Game at the Cambridge Theatre, London

As a concert  soloist Alex has appeared with the RTE Concert Orchestra, in The Romps, The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber, Razzle Dazzle, Show Stoppers, Super Troopers, Love Actually,A Christmas Gala, Broadway and Beyond, Mooney Tunes.

In Europe she has appeared inNight of a Thousand Voices, Academy Award Winners, Beatlemania! Bond - Shaken Not Stirred , Show Stoppers, and the Scandinavian concert tour of Les Miserables.

In the US Alex as appeared as a soloist in A Kurt Bestor Christmas, Salt Lake City, with Craig Jessop  and the American Festival Chorus, Logan, Utah.

Music and the Spoken Word  special guest with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

For the last two years she has had the privilege of being the featured soloist in Bob Cosgrove's Christmas concerts at the Brigham City Tabernacle, Utah.

Alex is best known in the US as one of the former soloists with the highly successful group Celtic Woman and can be seen on their PBS special Songs from the Heart.

Highlights  during that time include  performing at Radio City Hall, Red Rocks, Dancing with the Stars, appearances on Good Morning America, The Morning Show, Good Afternoon America and singing for President Obama at the Christimas Tree annual lighting event.

One of her most thrilling moments was strangely enough pressing the closing bell at Wall Street stock exchange !!!

In 2017 she created the role of Tess​ in Jimmy Kelly and Jeff Strange's production Find Your Way Home and debuted the show at the Palace Theatre, Albany, NY and Symphony Space, NYC.

In 2016 she set up the group CaraNua along side Lynn Hilary
